Peugeot Boxer (230L) vans are 3-seat commercial vehicles produced in 1994–2003. For the first time they were demonstrated to the public at the Geneva Motor Show. The body of these cars was designed by the famous Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. The drag coefficient was rather low for the cars of this class and was only 0.35. The vans were produced with various wheelbase lengths. It varied in the 2,850–3,700 mm range. Correspondingly, the length of the car body could be 4,749–5,599 mm. The car width always remained 2,024 mm. The height could also be different: from 2,150 to 2,860 mm. The volume of the cargo compartment could be 7.5–14.0 m³. The car body was characterized by resistance to corrosion.
The front suspension was independent, the rear one – dependent with leaf springs. Brake discs were installed on the front axle of the vehicle, drums – on the rear one.

About 20 versions of Peugeot Boxer (230L) vans have been produced over the whole manufacturing period. Most of them were petrol. The engine torque was most often transmitted to the front axle. But, in addition to front-wheel driven versions, all-wheel driven ones were also available in the line-up.
The cars were powered by 1.9–2.8 L engines. The least powerful one developed 68 hp; the most powerful – 127 hp. Depending on the selected version, the loading capacity of the cars varied in the 900–1,900 kg range. Fuel consumption in combined cycle could be from 8 to 13.5 litres. The vans were fitted with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

The equipment of Peugeot Boxer (230L) vans was minimalistic. The passenger seats were double. The driver seat was adjustable by height and in forward/backward direction. All the seats were equipped with headrests. The cabin was characterized by ergonomics: it had many compartments for storing small things, and the gearshift lever was mounted on the dashboard.
