Peugeot 307 (3A/C) cars are 3- and 5-door hatchbacks, production of which started in Europe in 2001 and continued till 2008. Their debut took place at the Geneva Motor Show. And as early as a year later, in 2002, they won the “European Car of the Year” award. Technical specifications of Peugeot 307 (3A/C)
The hatchback was 4,202 mm long, 1,730 mm wide and 1,510 mm high. Its road clearance was 120 mm. Depending on the seats configuration, the volume of the luggage compartment could be 341–1,328 litres.
The car body dimensions slightly changed after the restyling in 2005: its length and width were 4,212 mm and 1,746 mm correspondingly.
The front and rear suspensions were independent. Brake discs were installed on all the wheels: ventilated – on the front, and non-ventilated – on the rear axle.
Main versions
Totally, 42 versions of Peugeot 307 (3A/C) have been produced: 12 petrol and 9 diesel ones in a 3-door body version, and the same numbers – in a 5-door version. All of them were front-wheel driven. Most of them had a 5-speed manual transmission; but for some hatchbacks, a 4-speed manual one was available.
The diesel 2.0 HDiF 16V version was one of the most powerful. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder 16-valve 136 hp motor. Its maximum torque of 320 Nm was reached at 2,000 rpm, due to which excellent traction performance was achieved both when accelerating and driving at high speeds.
A turbocharger with an intercooler, and the Common Rail fuel injection system ensured excellent dynamics and provided optimal fuel consumption. The car accelerated to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds only, and its top speed was 202 km/h. About 4.5 litres of fuel were needed for travelling 100 km in extra-urban cycle, 5.4 litres – in combined cycle, and 7.1 litres – in urban cycle. The loading capacity of the version was 512 kg.
Trim levels of 307 (3A/C)
The most popular trim levels of Peugeot 307 hatchbacks are XR, XT, XS, XSi, Griffe, Feline, Premium.
Even in its basic trim, XR, the car could boast 6 airbags, air conditioner, central lock with remote control, athermal glazing, anti-lock braking system, cruise-control. Parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, navigation system, fog lights and alarm system were offered for an extra charge.
