The luggage compartment allowed for transportation of objects with a total volume of 479 litres; and with the rear seats folded - of 1,773 litres. Initially, the crossover had the following dimensions: the length – 4,630 mm, the width – 1,785 mm, the height – 1,685 mm. The road clearance was 200 mm. The loading capacity was 603 kg. After the restyling, the dimensions became the following: the length – 4,635 mm, the width – 1,790 mm, the height – 1,700 mm. The road clearance increased to 210 mm. The loading capacity was 545 kg.
The car had an independent suspension: the front one was of MacPherson type, the rear one – multi-link. Both axles were equipped with ventilated brake discs.
Main versions
15 versions were presented during the crossover production period. 4 of them were diesel, 11 – petrol. Nissan X-Trail (2007–2014) cars had a FWD or part-time 4WD.
The 2.0 DCI MT AWD diesel version was one of the most powerful. It was equipped with an in-line 4-cylinder engine with the Common Rail system and a turbocharger. The engine output was 173 hp. The maximum torque was 360 Nm at 2,000 rpm. The car accelerated to 100 km/h in 10 seconds. The top speed was 200 km/h. Fuel consumption was 7.4 litres per 100 km in combined cycle.
The 2.0 DCI MT AWD version was equipped with a part-time 4WD which allowed for switching its operation modes in accordance with the road and weather conditions. So, the “Auto” mode was provided for slippery road, “Lock” – for off-road conditions.
Trim levels of X-Trail (T31)
Various trim levels were offered, for example: Trek, Sport, Acenta, N-Tec+, Aventura, Platinum, Tekna. The equipment list of most of the cars included roof rails, an ABS, an anti-theft alarm, an audio system with remote control, climate control, front and side airbags, Isofix anchorage points for a child seat, power windows. Also there were power mirrors and folding rear seats.
The Aventura trim level was completed, for example, with cruise control and a traction control system. The seats and side mirrors were heated, some interior elements were trimmed with leather.
