The Mitsubishi Lancer VIII (CX_A): specifications
Initially, the dimensions of the car body were the following: length – 4,585, width – 1,760, height – 1,515 mm. The ride height was 165 mm. The luggage compartment volume was 288 liters and could be increased up to 1 349 liters with the rear seats folded. The maximum load capacity of the car reached 570 kg.
After the facelift, the length of the body became 4,640 mm. The ride height became 15 mm lower. The maximum load capacity reached 540 kg. The volume of the luggage compartment became 330 l. Other parameters remained unchanged.
The front axle of the hatchback was equipped with ventilated brake discs. Non-ventilated components were mounted onto the rear axle.
Main versions
There were over 10 versions of the Mitsubishi Lancer VIII (CX_A). They offered front- and all-wheel-drive vehicles. There were petrol, diesel and hybrid models among them. The latter ran both on petrol and on liquefied petroleum gas. Apart from that, there were flex-fuel versions which used a mixture of petrol and ethanol.
The petrol 2.0 АМТ Ralliart 4WD version with a semi-automatic transmission featured excellent speed characteristics. It was fitted with a 4-cylinder 16-valve 241 hp inline engine. Its maximum torque was 343 N·m at 3,000 rpm. To cover the distance of 100 km, the hatchback consumed 13.8 l of fuel in the urban cycle, 10 l in the combined cycle, 7.8 l in the extra-urban cycle. Its maximum speed reached 220 kph. Its acceleration time to 100 kph was 7.1 seconds.
Lancer VIII (CX_A): trim levels
The manufacturer offered a base and several extended trims, for example, GS2, GS3, GS4, Juro, Intense, Instyle, Inform, Invite, ClearTech Limited, Edition One, ClearTech Edition One, Intense Corporate, ES, VR, VR-X, DE, ES, GT-S. The base trim level of the Mitsubishi Lancer VIII hatchbacks (2007–2017) included ABS, alloy wheels, an audio system with a CD player. All cars were equipped with front and side airbags. There were electric heated side mirrors and power windows as well.
The GS4 trim included climate control, cruise control, front fog lights, a sat nav and traction control system. The seats were heated and trimmed with leather.
