Technical characteristics of Mini Paceman (R61)
Depending on the version, body length and height were 4109–4115 mm and 1518–1522 mm respectively. Width was 1786 mm, road clearance – 124–135 mm. Maximum loading capacity of the car was 470 kg. Volume of the luggage compartment was 330 litres and increased up to 1080 litres with the rear seats folded.
Ventilated brake discs were installed on the hatchback’s front axle and non-ventilated – on the rear one. Both suspensions were independent: the front – of MacPherson type, the rear one – of multi-link type.

1.6 AT ALL4 all-wheel-drive petrol version was one of the most popular. It was equipped with 4-cylinder 16-valve in-line engine with turbocharger and direct fuel injection system. Engine output equaled 190 hp, maximum torque – 240 N·m at 5000 rpm. The car consumed 9.5 litres of fuel in urban cycle, 5.7 litres – in the extra-urban cycle and 7.1 litres – in the combined cycle. Top speed of the car was 215 km/h. Time of acceleration to 100 km/h – 8 seconds.
Trim levels of Paceman (R61)
A few extended trim levels were available apart from the basic one. Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper D and Cooper Champ Edition were amongst them.
Cooper Champ Edition trim included keyless ignition system, central locking system, audio system, power windows, hydraulic power steering, cruise control and air-conditioning. Also, Paceman R61 hatchbacks (2012–2016) of this trim level had ABS, brake force distribution system, emergency brake assist, stability and traction control systems. The cars were equipped with front and side airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, roof rails and power side mirrors. Onboard computer, heated sports seats, parking sensors were offered for an extra charge.
