Technical specifications of Lancia Delta I (831)

Dimensions of the hatchback didn’t change during the whole manufacturing period. The body length was 3,881 mm, the width – 1,621 mm, the height – 1,379 mm. The road clearance of the car was 130 mm. The volume of the luggage compartment was 261 litres. The maximum loading capacity was 450 kg. Ventilated brake discs were installed on the car’s front axle, non-ventilated – on the rear.

Main versions

Lancia Delta I (831) cars were produced in 17 versions. The manufacturer offered petrol and diesel, front- and all-wheel driven cars.

The 2.0 MT Integrale AWD version was the most popular. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder 8-valve in-line petrol power unit with multipoint fuel injection. The engine output was 181 hp, the maximum torque – 298 Nm at 3,500 rpm. Fuel consumption in combined cycle was 9.6 litres per 100 km. The top speed of the vehicle was 215 km/h. It accelerated to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.

Trim levels of Delta I (831)

The manufacturer offered a few trim levels for Delta I (1979–1994) hatchbacks, for instance, LS and LE. The LE trim included the central lock, keyless engine start system, power windows, hydraulic power steering, driver airbag. Also the car was equipped with alloy wheel rims, front fog lights and heated power mirrors. The rear seats were folding; the position of the steering wheel could be adjusted. An anti-lock braking system and air conditioner were offered for an extra charge.
