The Jeep Compass (MK49): specifications
At the beginning of the production run, the length, width and height of the body were 4405 mm, 1810 mm and 1630 mm respectively. The ride height was 200 mm. The boot capacity was 436 litres and this increased to 1277 litres with the rear seats folded.
After the first facelift, the length of the vehicle was 4448 mm, the width 1812 mm and its height 1663 mm. The ride height was 205 mm. Their boot capacity with the rear seats folded decreased slightly to 1269 litres.
The front axle of the SUV was equipped with ventilated brake discs. The rear was fitted with solid ones.
Main versions
Jeep Compass cars (MK49) were available in 12 different versions. Both petrol and diesel SUVs were offered. They had either front-wheel or on-demand all-wheel drive (Freedom Drive).
One of the most popular versions was the AWD 2.4 CVT. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder, 16-valve straight petrol engine with multipoint fuel injection. The engine produced 170 hp and its maximum torque was 220 N·m at 4500 rpm. The maximum speed of the vehicle was 185 km/h. Acceleration was 0 to 100 km/h in 11.3 seconds. The fuel consumption of the vehicle was 11.3 litres per 100 km in the urban cycle, 7 litres in the extra-urban cycle and 8.6 litres in the combined cycle.

Apart from the base trim, there were extended ones, such as Sport, Sport Plus, North, 70th Anniversary, Limited, Black Edition, Latitude and Altitude Edition.
All Jeep Compass SUVs (MK49; 2006–2016) were fitted with ABS and traction control systems, cruise control, front airbags and steering wheel adjustment. They also had cast wheels, air conditioning, a sound system, electric heated side mirrors, power windows and front fog lights.
The 70th Anniversary trim level included a CD changer, roof rack and electrically adjustable driver seat. There were also heated leather-trimmed seats.
