Hyundai i30 (GD) hatchback Specifications
Body length was 4300 mm, width – 1780 mm, height – 1470 mm. Capacity of the luggage compartment was 325 litres and 1375 litres – with rear seats folded away. Road clearance was 150 mm. Loading capacity was 560 kg of a 3-door hatchback and 635 kg of a 5-door one. The car had independent suspensions: front MacPherson and rear multi-link. Disc brakes were installed on both axles.

1.0 T-GDi MT version was equipped with DOHC inline 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with direct fuel injection. Despite its small displacement, the power unit demonstrated very high output of 120 hp. This allowed the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 11.1 seconds. Top speed equaled 190 km/h.

A few trim levels were available, for instance, Start, Comfort, Classic, Active, Optima, Citivision, Style, Vision. All cars featured front airbags. The hatchbacks of extended trim level, the Vision, were also equipped with driver’s knee airbag and curtain airbags. ABS, ESP, hill start assist system were also installed. The rain sensor and bi-xenon headlights with automatic levelling and washer made trip pleasant even in poor weather conditions. Dual-zone climate-control with air ionizer provided air-flow for windscreen to prevent condensation. Heated multi-function steering wheel was equipped with Flex Steering technology. It adjusted the steering force making it easy to drive with selected speed. Multimedia system allowed for connection via USB and was equipped with Bluetooth hands-free technology.
