The luggage compartment capacity was up to 375 litres. The height of the body remained the same, 1395 mm, during the whole manufacturing period. Hyundai Accent II (LC) saloons were the first cars of this model to get CRDi diesel engines. 1.5 CRDi version with 5-speed manual transmission was one of the most popular. It had an 82 hp diesel engine with a turbocharger. The cylinder block was made of cast iron. Some engine elements were made by the Bosch company. Max torque was 187 N·m at 1900 rpm. The vehicle accelerated to 100 km/h in 14 seconds. Average fuel consumption in the combined cycle was 5.5 litres per 100 km.
Trim levels of Accent II (LC) saloon
The manufacturer offered the basic trim level and a few extended ones, such as GSI and CDX. Almost all cars had factory-installed hydraulic power steering, height-adjustable steering column, anti-theft system, attachments for a child seat, seat belt pretensioners, ABS and CD-player. The rear seats were 60/40 split folding. The car had an automatic headlight levelling system as well as luggage compartment lighting.
