Technical characteristics of Ford C-Max DXA
Ford C-Max DXA minivan had the length of 4380 mm, the width of 1828 mm, and the height of 1626 mm. It’s road clearance equalled 160 mm, and the luggage compartment capacity ranged from 432 to 1684 litres. The front vehicle axle is equipped with vented brake discs, while the rear axle – in most cases with solid ones.
The independent rear suspension Control Blade makes this model very responsive due to great manoeuvrability and steerability.
The front and middle pillars, door reinforcements and side panels are made of high-strength steel, which creates a safe passenger compartment. Special dual-phase steel is used for the inner side panels and floor cross-arms in order to create a deformation zone that efficiently absorbs the impact energy of a collision. In the event of a frontal impact, a special subframe detaches the body bottom plate from the chassis, thus, lowering the possibility of leg injuries.
