Daihatsu Materia (M4) specifications
The car’s length was 3800 mm, width – 1690 mm, height – 1635 mm. Ground clearance was 110 mm. Volume of the car luggage compartment was 180 litres and 620 litres with the rear seats folded away. Maximum loading capacity was 600 kg.
Brake discs were installed on the front axle of Materia (M4) hatchback. Drum brakes were used on rear axle.

Manufacturer offered 5 petrol versions. There were front- and all-wheel-drive cars.
1.5 AT AWD version was one of the most popular. It was powered by 4-cylinder 16-valve in-line engine with port fuel injection. Engine had output of 103 hp and delivered maximum torque of 132 N·m at 4400 rpm. The hatchback could reach speeds of up to 165 km/h. It accelerated to 100 km/h in 13.3 seconds. The car consumed 9 litres of fuel for 100 km in urban cycle, 6.3 litres – in extra-urban cycle and 7.3 litres – in combined cycle.
Trim levels of Materia (M4)
In addition to standard equipment, the manufacturer offered more features for such trims as Rythm, Funk, Soul, Rock and Groove. All Materia (2006–2012) hatchbacks had factory-installed front and side airbags, ABS and parking sensors. Also they were equipped with air-conditioner, alloy wheel rims, power windows, front fog lights and power side-view mirrors.
Apart from this equipement, the Groove trim level also featured central locking, keyless ignition, brake force distribution and hydraulic power steering.
