Technical specifications of Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible
Initially, the body length was 4,288 mm, the width – 1,748 mm, the height – 1,539 mm. The road clearance was 150 mm. The volume of the luggage compartment was 210 litres, and could be increased to 375 litres with the folded rear seats. After the restyling, the length became 4,290 mm, the width – 1,705 mm, and the height – 1,600 mm. The rest characteristics didn’t change. Ventilated brake discs were installed on the vehicle’s front axle, non-ventilated – on the rear axle.
Main versions
7 front-wheel driven versions of the PT Cruiser convertible (2000–2010) were produced. All of them had petrol engines.
The 2.4 MT GT version was the most powerful. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder 16-valve in-line turbocharged power unit. Its output was 220 hp, and the max. torque – 332 Nm at 3,600 rpm. The top speed of the car was 220 km/h. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time was 7.6 seconds. Fuel consumption in urban cycle was 11.8 litres per 100 km, 9.1 litres – in extra-urban cycle, and 10.2 litres – in combined cycle.
Trim levels of PT Cruiser convertible
A few extended trim levels were offered, apart from the basic one. Among them were GT, LHD, Touring and Limited.
The basic trim included an anti-theft alarm, hydraulic power steering, an ABS, traction control and electronic brake force distribution (EBD) systems. Available were also front and side airbags. Chrysler PT Cruiser convertibles were equipped with an air conditioner, alloy wheel rims, power windows, front fog lights. The cars also had power heated mirrors and reach adjustable steering column. Xenon headlights, a navigation system, and an audio system with CD-changer were available for an extra charge. The LHD trim level included cruise control, leather heated seats, and an electrically adjustable driver seat.
