Chevrolet Cruze (J300) specifications
Initial car dimensions were length - 4597 mm, width - 1788 mm, height - 1477 mm. Ground clearance was 140 mm. Volume of the luggage compartment was 450–1120 litres. The length of the facelifted car has been increased by 6 mm, width – by 9 mm, other dimensions remained unchanged.
The front suspension was independent with MacPherson struts, the rear – semi-independent. Ventilated brake discs were installed on the front axle and non-ventilated on the rear.
Main versions
There were more than 20 front-wheel-drive versions of Chevrolet Cruze (J300) saloon. Apart from diesel and petrol versions, hybrid models were also available. They could run on petrol or liquified petroleum gas. Moreover, there was a version designed to run on a fuel mixture of 85% ethanol and 15% petrol.
2.0 TD MT diesel version was one of the most powerful. It featured 4-cylinder 16-valve in-line engine with direct fuel injection. Engine produced 163 hp and max torque of 360 N·m at 3800 rpm. The car consumed 6 litres of fuel per 100 km in urban cycle, 4.2 litres – in extra-urban cycle. Fuel consumption in combined cycle was 4.8 litres. Top speed of the vehicle was 210 km/h. It accelerated to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.
Trim levels of Cruze (J300)
4 trim levels were offered: LS, LT, LTZ and Irmscher Edition. LS, the basic trim, included hydraulic power steering, anti-theft system, ABS, stability control (ESP), front and side airbags, power front windows and power side-view mirrors.
The highest trim, LTZ, included trip computer, multifunctional steering wheel, climate-control, cruise-control, parking sensors, front fog lights, rain sensor. Multimedia system with 7-inch screen, DVD-player, USB-port, navigation system and voice control, leather-trimmed interior were offered at extra charge for Chevrolet Cruze (2008–2016) cars.
