Chevrolet Captiva (C100, C140) specifications
Initial body length was 4635 mm, width – 1870 mm, height – 1755 mm. After the first facelift the length of the car has been increased by 38 mm, while the width and the height were reduced by 21 mm and 28 mm respectively. After the second facelift in 2016 dimensions were: width - 1849 mm, height – 1727 mm, length - 4673 mm. Ground clearance of the car remained unaltered since the start of production (180 mm). Maximum loading capacity was 560 kg. Volume of the luggage compartment varied in the range of 477–1577 litres.
The front and rear suspensions were independent. Ventilated brake discs were installed on both axles.
Main versions
There were more than 20 versions of Chevrolet Captiva (C100, C140) crossover. They were diesel, petrol and hybrid. The latter could run on petrol or liquified petroleum gas. The cars designed to run on a fuel mixture of 85% ethanol and 15% petrol were also on sale. Versions with front- or part-time all-wheel-drive were offered.
3.0 AT AWD petrol version was one of the most powerful. It featured V6 24-valve engine with direct fuel injection. Engine had output of 258 hp, maximum torque of 288 N·m at 5800 rpm. Fuel consumption in urban cycle was 15.5 litres per 100 km, 8 litres – in extra-urban cycle and 10.7 litres – in combined cycle. Top speed was 198 km/h. The crossover accelerated to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds.
Trim levels of Captiva (C100, C140)
The following trim levels of Captiva (2006–2018) cars were offered: SX, CX, LX, LS, LT, LTX, LTZ. The basic trim, LS, included air-conditioner, power windows, daytime running lights, multimedia with CD-player and Bluetooth, multifunctional steering wheel. Besides, the car featured ABS, 6 airbags, stability control system (ESP), hill descending assist (HDC) and hill start assist (HSA).
The highest trim, LTZ, included roof rails, 19-inch light alloy wheel rims, trip computer, satellite navigation system and leather-trimmed cabin.
