BMW X3 (F25) vehicles are the second generation of compact crossovers released in 2010 and produced until 2017. Technical specifications of BMW X3 (F25)
The length of the vehicle was 4,648 mm, its width was 1,881 mm and height was 1,675 mm. The luggage compartment capacity varied within a range of 550 – 1,600 l depending on the configuration of rear seats. The ride height was 212 mm. Both rear and front axles of the car were fitted with drilled brake discs. After the 2014 facelift, car’s dimensions have changed slightly: its length, width and height were 4,657 mm, 1,881 mm and 1,661 mm, respectively. The ride height was reduced to 204 mm.
There were 22 versions of the BMW X3 (F25; 2010–2017) crossover made during the production years: 6 diesel, 5 petrol ones before the 2014 facelift and the same number after.
One of the most powerful versions was the petrol xDrive35i AT (306 hp). It was fitted with a 6-cylinder in-line engine with direct fuel injection and a twin-scroll turbocharger. The maximum torque of 400 N⋅m was achieved at 1,200 – 5,000 RPM. Thanks to that, excellent dynamics was ensured: the crossover accelerated to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and it reached the speed of 240 km/h.
A continuously variable valve timing system and the brand technology Valvetronic, a variable valve lift system, helped to reduce the fuel consumption. To cover the distance of 100 km the car needed 10.7 l of petrol in an urban area, 8.3 l in a mixed cycle and 6.9 l on a highway. The load capacity of the version was 590 kg.
The car’s suspension could be adjusted according to the road conditions. The driver could choose between three modes: Normal, Sport and Sport+.
Trim packages of the X3 (F25)
A great number of packages was offered for the X3 (F25) crossovers: Base, SE, Urban, xLine, Exclusive, LifeStyle, and for some countries — Business, Executive, High Executive and also the M Sport option package.
The Lifestyle trim level of the vehicle could boast variable-assist power steering, multifunction steering wheel, rain and light sensors, the Start/Stop system. Two-zone climate control created comfortable temperature inside the car. Steering wheel, front seats and headlight washer nozzles were heated. Active safety was ensured by the electronic stability control, dynamic cruise control and Run-flat tyres. Leather and natural wood inserts were used for interior trimming.
