BMW X3 (the E83) vehicles are five-seat all-wheel drive crossovers that debuted in 2003 and were produced until 2010. During this time, 614,824 cars were made. Technical specifications of BMW X3 (E83)
The car was 4,565 mm long, 1,853 mm wide and 1,674 mm high. The capacity of the luggage compartment varied within a range of 480–1,560 l depending on whether the rear seats were folded. The ride height reached 200 mm. After the 2006 facelift, the length of the crossover was increased to 4,569 mm.

The diesel 3.0sd AT (286 hp) had excellent performance characteristics. It was fitted with a 6-cylinder 24-valve engine with Common Rail direct fuel injection. The crossover accelerated to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds and could reach the speed of 240 km/h, while the average fuel consumption was 9.7 l per 100 km in an urban area, 6.7 l – on a highway, 7.8 l – in a mixed cycle. The load capacity of the version reached 510 kg. The xDrive all-wheel drive system distributed the torque in 40:60 ratio between the front and rear wheels respectively, however, if necessary, up to 100% of engine power could be transferred to a single axle.
Trim packages of the X3 (E83)
BMW X3 crossovers (E83) were mostly manufactured with the basic trim level which could be extended with optional extras. In some countries, Executive and High Executive packages were also available. Limited editions like Exclusive, Edition Lifestyle and Limited Sport Edition featured their own range of equipment. It was possible to order M-Sport, Premium and Dynamic option packages.
Depending on the trim level, the car could be equipped with a sound system with 8 or 10 speakers, 17-, 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels.
